Performance Appraisals

Performance Appraisals

Performance reviews are often the missing piece in the employee management puzzle, found at the bottom of the "To Do" pile of a busy employer.

They're easy to avoid, especially when things are going well. So why do them?

  • to help set expectations for employees
  • to define a measurement of success
  • to gauge an employee's performance
  • to get feedback from the employee
  • to set goals for the next review.

The review is also an opportunity to give praise, reward, or notice of concern in a formal context. They provide documentation of employee performance in case of termination.

They help build a relationship and aid valuable communication between employer and employee.
